The owner of this land asked for the garden to become a ‘green light in the neighbourhood’. Surrounded by barren pistachio fields, an oasis is envisioned full of herbs for tea, medicinal tinctures and ointments, shaded from tall fruit trees, brimming with life of insects and birds. The first steps included restoring the soil and planting fast growing beautiful hedges to protect the land from the use of pesticides surrounding it. Through a number of partnerships an ecological garden kitchen is being constructed to utilise all the different products of the garden, a small self-sustaining paradise.
