It is a pleasant novelty for well rested soil to be enveloped by a sea of green mountains in a desertified island. The river once flowing during winter, has cut through this piece of land, indicating possible aquifers that have facilitated the growth of wild flora. The project aims to expand this natural phenomenon by digging trenches leading the water throughout the property, irrigating the trees and distributing nutrients currently gathered in the river beds. Native wild flowers and perennial bushes can stabilize the slopes and cover the ground protecting the soil from the burning sun, providing a pop of colour to this aspiring agroforest, planned to battle climate change.
