An olive garden a few kilometres away from the coast encompassing a modern house for a small family. The garden was envisioned to both provide space for leisure activities as well as garden produce, resulting in a low grassy plane surrounded by nutritious vegetables and sheltering trees. Different hardy vines were chosen to mediate wall heat adding to the aromas in the garden as they bloom for the longest part of the year. Mediterranean shrubs serve both the amelioration of the soil and the kitchen. They are placed at the entrance of the house in a simple, robust pattern contrasting the wave pattern of the vegetable raised beds; the latter both saving space and reflecting the nearby waves.
