Syntropic Garden

Natural types of agriculture strive to incorporate natural processes and biodiversity into agriculture and gardening. Natural representation is a more minimal approach of Japanese origin, were the garden stands to represent natural phenomena through symbolism. For those of us grown up in the vast emptiness of the sea, with islands appearing as if through mist, a bright, green garden seems to almost be going against our intuition and even aesthetics. This is the conflict of this garden: natural biodiversity and familiar aesthetics; a conflict slowly resolved through geometric symbols found in nature – e.g. spiral, zones of different use and watering needs and the use of native flora that is equally restorative and aesthetically pacifying.
